Luxembourg : Nov 9

Yes the city and the town have the same name. It’s the 7th smallest country in Europe.
It brought my total countries visited number to 11.
Didn’t even know it existed until I started looking for Lauren Daigle tickets.

The city wasn’t bad, lots of old buildings, a walking path really beautiful because of the changing leaves. It was cold (right at freezing temps) and rainy most of the time there though so I won’t say it was amazing.

The trip started a little rocky; I’ll be more focused next trip.
I bought the tickets for this trip a month before I left. I was settled in my first train seat when a gentleman said I was in his seat. (train was moving at this point and I had been there for a solid 15 minutes already) Turns out we had the same seat exactly. Odd. We even had someone else verify each of our ticket seat info. Then he asked me the date (initially I was like thats a dumb question I’m here today aren’t I)… ahh, Turns out I bought the train tickets to Luxembourg for Oct 9 not Nov 9. So when the ticket checker came through we explained, and because God is good, he said it was ok and went on. Good thing considering we were already halfway to the first stop. So I hurried and bought new tickets online for the rest of the trip for similar travels times to the ones I already had. Get to the next station and I’m supposed to be on RE 4347 at platform 1, problem is RE 1 was there so… I just get on because idk what else to do. When the ticket girl comes by my QR barcode doesn’t scan after a solid minute of her trying so she just shrugs and goes on. Wow.
It cost me twice as much to get to Luxembourg than I thought it would since I had to buy the correct tickets. But ya know what… I got to worship with Lauren Daigle so it’s ok.

Around the city

1. A banner in the Notre Dame Cathedral that says America. 2. Ascenseur du Pfaffenthal – An over hanging platform with a good view. 3. Casemates du Bock 4. Grand Ducal Palace

The concert

Tom Tukker opened up. He’s from the Netherlands, never heard of him before but him and his two person band were actually really good! Loved hearing something new and different from a local, up-and-coming band.

Lauren Daigle was AMAZING!!!
VIP ticket so worth it. She’s just as kind, sweet, and goofy as you’d think, and her voice is so raw, real and genuine. Truly beautiful inside and out. Her southern creole roots came out and it was nice to see her have fun on stage and how she allowed each member of her band to shine. Her music has the best lyrics and it was a great night of worship and singing songs which have become a bit of an anthem for my in recent months going through a rough patch. I know every morning I wake up and turn on LD I will be filled with hope for the future, encouragement to conquer the day and trust in God in all situations.
